YouTube Creator Academy-Grow your audience boot camp-Day 6

I posted the previous blog. Here is day 6: Use playlists and sections( Viewers like to watch more of a good thing. Organize your videos into easy-to-find catalogs of playlists and sections.)

Day 6: Use playlists and sections: Viewers like to watch more of a good thing. Organize your videos into easy-to-find catalogs of playlists and sections.

Subject read:

Best practices: Imagine that your channel is like an online store, with well-organized, smartly-curated displays that showcase your different types of content. Whether you create videos with different themes or you curate videos from others, keep your collections organized with playlists and sections to get people to watch more of your channel and communicate why they should subscribe. Collecting and sharing videos from across YouTube on your channel can also help you offer even more value to your fans, and establish your reputation as a trendsetter.

-Personalize your collection with a playlist to share with others.
+Playlists can showcase your channel’s personality and ultimately, your creativity. Great playlists can increase watch time and create another asset that will appear in search results, and in suggested videos. You can even make a playlist around a big or current event, like International Chocolate Day (September 13). Or, assemble a “Best of” playlist to highlight your most watched videos so that long-term fans don’t have to search around to find their favorites. (It's also helps new fans see your most popular content.) If your channel features multiple hosts or personalities, you can use playlists to give each host their own space, too.
-Feng shui your channel with sections.
+A section allows you to group videos together in a particular way so that your audience can make easier decisions about what they want to watch. They keep your channel looking organized and neat. Sections can be created from a single playlist, a group of playlists, or a group of channels. You can assemble sections based on a common theme, like putting surf channels and playlists with surf videos into one section.

This course have a few information to show.
Get activities: answer some question.

Check your knowledge:
Question 1: How do playlists engage viewers and increase watch time?
Correct answer isPlaylists allow the viewer to watch a continuous set of videos without having to return to the channel in between.
Wrong answers are:
-Playlists allow viewers to program what they watch next on the channel.
-Playlists control which ads viewers see and when.
-Playlists let viewers vote on which video they want to watch next.

Question 2:How is a playlist different than a section?
Correct answer is: Playlists allow videos to be played in a specific order.
Wrong answers are:
-A section controls the viewing session and can be embedded on an external blog.
-Playlists are bigger.
-Sections are created by YouTube and are not editable.

The system show the congratulation after I completed the course from the begin to the end. I will take new knowledge to apply my "Explorer Mr Channel" channel. I go along with the analytic of the youtube channel to define how it is effective.

Next: Upload regularly( Keep your channel updated to encourage fans to come back; they love seeing your newest videos and other activities.)

  1. The best way to transfer playlists across different platforms is to use this handy tool known as MusConv.com . It makes the migration a lot easier. Do give it a try!
